Nicola Di Croce is an architect, musician, sound artist and scholar. He has a PhD in Regional Planning and Public Policies. His research deals with the relationship between urban and regional planning, public policies and sonic environment. Such relation explores new potentials for urban regeneration, participatory processes and local development.

Through his research he intends to make use of urban sound design as an empowerment device for marginal stakeholders, as well as an instrument for the implementation of the institutional understanding of critical urban issues such as depopulation, segregation, and expiration of local identities and intangible cultural heritages.
